Fruit-trees
Vineyard
For growth control:
Chlormequat chloride, 200-250 mg/l. Spraying 1-2 weeks before flowering.
It is better to do it with two applications with 'spray to run off'
method.
Ethephon, 45-90 gr/m2. Spraying 1-2 weeks before flowering.
For easier harvesting:
Ethephon, 150-350 mg/l. Spraying 10-15 days before harvesting.
For respiration control- protection for excess warm weather:
Pinolene, 4.8-9.6 g/l. Spraying leaves and grapes 10 days before
expected heat wave.
Pear-tree
For increasing side branching in young trees:
C6-C12, 20-30 g/l. Spraying tips between June-beginning of July.
benzyladenine (BA), 100-150 mg/l. 3 applications with 5-7 days
interval.
For better rooting of cutting during propagation:
IBA, 8g/kg powder.
Olive-tree
For homogenous ripening:
ethephon, 0.9-1.6 g/l. Spraying when fruits are getting the color of the
specific variety. Concentration depends on the variety. Ripening 2-3
weeks after treatment.
Citrus
For acceleration of ripening:
ethephon, 140-300 mg/l. spraying only fruits and not the leaves.
For increasing storage time:
gibberellic acid, 11mg/l. Dipping of fruits after harvesting.
Lemon-tree
Elongation of harvesting period:
2,4-D, 6-7 mg/l. Spraying trees during winter (December-January)
NAA, 12 mgl. Spraying during winter.
Apple-tree
Growth control and increasing fruit number for next season:
daminozide, 1.3-1.7 g/l. Spraying 1-4 weeks after flowering.
Promoting flowering initiation:
ethephon, 500-100 mg/l. Spraying 1-4 weeks after flowering of neighbor
apple trees.
Banana
Increased fruit length
gibberellic acid, 40 mg/l. Use of Tween-20 in the solution.
